Our Whirlwind week.

We have had a crazy last few weeks! Cole has been to his Occupation Therapy Evalutation. He needs to get OT- we are awaiting a call from the office telling us when he'll start. At OT he plays and learns to use skills to cope with everyday life and other people. We are excited to give him more than what we can provide as parents and are eager to watch him grow and change.

Last week we participated in the first Autism Walk. It snowed in April. We walked 1 lap and that was good enough. we bundled up, but were still shivering from the cold. It's so neat to see there are others out there dealing with some of the same things that we are. :)

Jared's dad and brother, Matt, came out to visit. We spent a day playing at the park and making marshmellow guns. The other day we stopped off in Seattle to visit the Troll and then headed up to see Jared's Uncle Steve in Bothell. It's always nice to see family. The kids especially love their Uncle Matt. We miss him too!

Jared is getting ready to deploy. He is busy wrapping up work stuff and getting clothes ready to be packed. We are still unsure the exact date of his departurre, but know that it is quickly approaching! We will miss Jared when he is gone and pray for his safe return.

Cole went on a field trip to see the Velveteen Rabbit in Tacoma. He loved riding on the bus and being in a familiar part of Tacoma. The play was about an hour long and Cole sat through it, thought he wished that he could be closer to the stage. He is excited to read the book because he know the sstory line.

Brit is chugging along in school. She is starting to pick up reading. We hope that over the summer she gives up her tv and takes on reading. She is growing up and her attitude and opinions are changing as well. She'll be a real handful when those teenage years hit.

Ashton is going through this envious stage. Everything is "mine". He's very aggressive when someone touches things that belong to the family. He makes it a point to tell everyone that it belongs in this house and they can't take it home. I'm sure he is going to have a hard time with daddy leaving, but I know that he will get through it- we all do- and be fine.

Kate is busy pulling her hair out as the world just keeps spinning around her. Work keeps her mind busy and the kids keep her on her toes. No one said it would be easy stayting at home, but what a blessing it is to be here.

We miss our frineds and family that are seperated from us by the miles. We miss spending time with you and being there to support you. You are in our prayers. Come and visit us!
