Cole's update

So, About 4 months ago Cole was in 3rd grade. He was having a hard time paying attention, so we requested that he be tested for a promotion to 4th grade. He is super smart and tests on genius level, so this promotion should have be easy to get through. Well, after 3 weeks of testing (and coordination the schedule of about 11 different people) we got the excellent news that our dear Cole is a 4th grader. :) We are so excited for him and extremely proud of him. Now Cole and Brit are 2 year apart in school. He is the smallest and youngest 4th grader at his school. Jared got to thinking, if we were back in CT, Cole would only be in elementary for 1 more year. Argh!!! Cole would be a middle schooler at 10! Holy cats! He is so tiny!!! but, Cole is going much better (though we still can't read his writing) and We LOVE LOVE LOVE his current teacher. She is a walking angel that has the utmost patience, love and understanding for my boy. Can I just tell you no one is or has been better at getting through to him at school. :) We still struggle with the everyday stuff with Cole, but this little step, to challenge Cole a little more, is gigantic!! Thank you and good night.

P.S. Ashton is planning his 4th birthday and wants the neighbors girl friends to come over in bikinis and mud wrestle for his birthday. Unfortunately Jared isn't home enough to be that kind of an influence on Ashton, so I don't really know where this desire is coming from.

Wow, Kate, that is really cool. So is Cole just loving having more challenging work? Have you noticed a difference? Take care, Rebecca

That's exciting he is more challenged now, that should be a big help! Also, maybe you should ease off the mud wrestling until at least the kids are in bed from now on.....
